Welcome to The Confident Parent Collective's

ADHD Course Week 4

Proactive Parenting, Breaking the Conflict Loop & Leading with Calm.

Welcome to Week 4—where we shift from managing the crisis to preventing it!

Last week, you mastered Regulation Over Obedience and learned how to be the Sturdy Captain during an emotional storm. This week, we're building on that by diving deep into proactive parenting, which is all about anticipating challenges, creating structure, and leading with connection before behaviours escalate. You'll learn how to stop conflict cycles for good and stay ahead of the storm.

What You Will Accomplish This Week:

Inside this week's module, you will learn the practical tools to stay ahead of conflicts:

  • Proactive vs. Reactive Parenting: Discover the difference and learn how to anticipate triggers instead of only responding after a problem starts.

  • Breaking the Interactive Loop: Understand the cycle of "Punishment – Shame – Low self-worth Anxiety – More challenging behaviours", and learn how to break it by replacing punishment with structure and skill-building.

  • "Sit on the Bench" Parenting: Master the technique of stepping back from power struggles by pausing, observing, and regulating yourself before re-engaging with a plan.

  • Implementing Daily Anchors: Learn to create short, predictable rituals that provide your child with emotional safety, like a morning check-in or an evening wind-down routine.

Get ready to reduce stress over time and create a calmer, more predictable home environment.
